Can't delete Instrument from Part
- Go to File / Parts
- Select Part (Bass Guitar in my arrangement)
- Go to 'Instruments in Part'.
- Use the '-' button to remove the part (Alto Sax in my arrangement) to put back into 'Instruments in Score'
- Click Okay
6 - Repeat the above.. you'll find the part has not been removed.. Can't see another way of removing the additional instrument from the part.

No one here can go anywhere in a PNG (image) file. Can you post the MuseScore file (MSCZ or MSCX) that you are having trouble with?
For as long as I can remember it's been like this. To get rid of the instrument from a part that's already been made, the only way is to delete the entire part and re-make it with the desired instruments.
