Odd playback issue

• Jan 29, 2021 - 20:58

When I play the file I have below, for some reason the Piccolo 1 part (the first one) uses a string synth sound instead of the default piccolo one. Even more weirdly, the Piccolo 2 part plays normally.

I've tried several different ways to fix the problem, none of which seem to work:
- Using an instrument change
- Changing the playback instrument in the mixer (no matter what I select, the string synth is always played)
- Creating a new piccolo line and moving the line there
- Resetting Musescore to its factory settings

The problem persists when I move the file between different computers, so I believe that it has something to do with the file itself. It does say that the file is corrupted, but I know that Musescore does that when using local time signatures. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if that has something to do with it.

I can't say how this happened or what it means, but I would note if you look in the mixer, the first piccolo is set to sound Piccolo but the second to Piccolo Expr. That shouldn't in itself be a problem. But anyhow, if I go to Staff?Part Properties and change it back to a normal piccolo, that changes it in the mixer and it seems to work as expected.
