cross-staff notation doesn't 'stick' in Beta1

Cross-staff notation - created in piano music by using Ctrl+Shift+uparrow or Ctrl+Shift+downarrow to move a note or notes from treble clef to bass clef or vice versa - reverts to the staff in which it was created after the score is saved and reopened.
