Tiny icons issue

• Feb 26, 2021 - 12:16

To all,
Thank you in advance for your help. Maybe others had the same issue and found a solution. I have tried myself to figure it out and failed. As a daily tool, I use an HP laptop for which I use a 55" 1080P Samsung TV as my monitor. This set up works just fine with every other program on the computer and all internet sites.

I just downloaded Muse Score 3.6 and I am a novice with this software. The problem with MuseScore is: that in one of the upper ribbons just to the left of the "1 2 3 4 layer choices" there is a line of icons which are very tiny and unrecognizable even on a 55" screen. I cannot find a properties setting which allows me to increase the size of these, or any other, icons.
I found a workaround posted somewhere which suggests the following:
1. close MuseScore
2. disconnect the HDMI cable from the laptop
3. open MuseScore
4. reconnect the cable

AMAZING !!! it works.

Problem ... when I close Musescore and restart it later, the icons revert to being tiny again. I don't really want to have the notation program on all the time, and I don't want to do the little routine I described above each time I open MuseScore. Have others experienced the same icon issue ... and is there some setting where I can make Musescore memorize the new defaults?

Again, thank you in advance for your help.
