Copyright Implications of Uploading an "Arrangement of a work not in the Public Domain"?
When uploading a piece to MuseScore step 1 of 2 asks what work of music the score you want to upload is based on. What does it imply when MuseScore says it is an "Arrangement of a work not in the Public Domain?" Does the uploaded arrangement infringe on the rights of the copyrighted work it is based on? Will MuseScore treat this score differently than pieces that are original works? What should people know about uploading scores that are arrangements of works not in the Public Domain?
