Underline under notes, but not extension of previous underscore

• Mar 23, 2021 - 14:02

Sometimes, when working with volta, I find that I want to extend an underscore from text that appeared before the volta, and I can't figure out how to do this in MuseScore, not even as a work-around. (Sorry, it's difficult to explain what I mean, but I hope the attached file will clear things up.) An example of what I mean is in m. 32. I'd like the underscore from "Lord's" (in m. 30) to continue to the notes in m. 32, but I don't want it to look like it's the extension of "ris-" in m. 31, the prima volta.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Would something like this work? i copied/pasted ris- rather than typing a hyphen and your singers will probably grasp that Lord's in brackets is there as a cue rather than to be sung twice,
