Stacks of multiple Tempo Marks

• Mar 23, 2021 - 22:32

Often, when I put in a tempo mark (Qtr Note=80) it will suddenly stack up eight or more copies of the mark.

It will also stack up countless, random, tempo marks on the page when I try to save a score to mxl.

How do I make it stop doing this?

See PDF Screen shot to see what I mean.

  1. You have selected multiple elements (for example a rectangular selection over several staves) and click in the palette to add a tempo marking. Just as for any other palette element; MuseScore dutifully adds the palette element to each selected element (chord/rest).
Only click on a single element before adding the Tempo Marking to avoid this

  2. This makes no sense; unless you somehow had invisible markings and those became visible again. If you had View → Show Invisible Items turned off, then this might explain what you're seeing.

  3. There is no PDF Screen Shot (and it would be easier if you add a screenshot as an image file directly)
