If there are any problems please attach as an example a *.mscz file.
Is MuseScore right now playing someone else's chords?
Are you asking about "chord symbols" like "A7" and "Bbm7b5" etc? Or are you asking about a set of notes stacked on top of each other in a staff, to be played simultaneously?
Best to attach your score here, and all will be clear.

thanks, what i mean is that i have stacked the chords w colorings and want to be sure that they are played as such. I removed the chord symbols after a tip from a friend, but I'd rather be able to keep them. I enclose my score...
