3.6 Musescore Crash - unrecoverable files that were "opened" at the time of the crash

While using version 3.6, the program would at some point (not the same point each time), would close itself and force me to ask it to recover and reload. It did for awhile. The last time it did, it did not recover some of the songs I had loaded to work on next on my list of things to do. When going back to try to reload them, the titles didn't even show up as being available to choose to open up. Where can I go to try to locate them? I'm a teacher, and some of these files were songs we were going to learn in the future as well as a conductor's score I had created for handbells. Thank you
