Hi,
on larger or complex arrangements the playback starting works really well
there is a delay some fine tuning of the playback and then the timing stabilises and then the MIDI streaming settles down within a bar (probably two beats in reality would be fine in reality) . This to me is quite acceptable for Playback when recording. 3.6.2 is excellent the most repeatable timing and accurate for many rhythms on a variety of arrangement types and sizes.

The issue comes to stopping on MIDI playback while working on an arrangement as this is done frequently so the button press is always fraught with some degree of trepidation. Randomly when you press stop the MIDI stream will "spew" the remaining buffered contents queued out the bus. When you are connected up to your very expensive Studio Audio suite causes a lot of over volt limits on the A/D's and some really nasty spiking at times. The same thing will happen randomly when you utilise loopback playback when it goes to the beginning from the end of the played section it will dance and spew MIDI data on the bus.

With this in mind personally I would rather wait till the buffer is gracefully emptied and exhausted before actual stop is finalised or re starting the loping, so that there is no random bursts of MIDI data.

It happens on any larger multi instrument arrangement so I have not included any of my arrangements as it will happen on any larger arrangement from your no longer free library.

I have not been keeping up with the development strategy and so this might be well known and be slotted to be addressed with moving to the VST3 VSTi plugin interfacing.

All the best to the development team
