A two column layout isn't directly supported, no.
One way would be to use a page that is only half as wide as it needs be, then export to PDF and combine it in there somehow.
What you can do is use Horizontal Frames to mimic the look. Just be aware that default playback would still be from left to right first.

Odd one this. I think I've seen some books - maybe hymn books done this way.
Could this be a useful feature for a new version?
Clearly a work around is to use smaller pages and combine graphics - as suggested.
