RODE Connect software

Just bought the RODE NT-USB mini mic. It can be used with RODE Connect software which adds a management layer to sound input and output devices. However, once I have installed it, I have problems with MuseScore. MuseScore does not initialise the sound devices and just hangs on the initial logo screen. Clearly something that RODE Connect is doing that causes problems but I've no idea where to look! Any pointers please?
