how to add small image inserts this forum
I just took some small screen snips maybe 1.5"x1.5". when I drag to this forum/txt box and insert into this text area they are way too big IMO. How do I make them smaller AFTER I insert them to see how they look. I dont see any "controls" for doing anything w image or text after I type it or insert it.

You can preview your post before you save it. If your image is too big you can delete it, resize it out of the forum, then re-add it.

I had a screen grab which was 335 mm wide. Then I reduced it to 100 mm wide in a graphics editor, so now it takes up less than the full text width. [EDIT] At least on a laptop screen this is true. On a mobile phone you may see something different!

Previously I thought that the forum was resizing all images to full width, but what it must do is to reduce any oversized images until they fit the display width?

In most cases I use the Stamp key, I use the standard program to crop the image (Paint on Windows, KolourPaint on Mint). I save the image, then from the same software I resize it (60%, keep aspect ratio).

There are some How To's to delete (eg.: https://musescore.org/en/node/314560 ), you can use them for testing (preview) then delete.
