Are there any Plugins that add Note Names to the *center* of the Note (like inside the notehead), rather than above/below?
Looking for something that fulfills this need. Thanks!

Yes, but they are not needed anymore, check "Note head schema" in staff properties, see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/notehead-schemes
