How to turn off chord symbol sound

Hi I am using version 3.6 and when I put chord symbols above the line, they play when I playback. How do I turn that feature off? I tried preferences > Note Input > nd un-checked "play chord symbol" and clicked OK but nothing changed. See screen shot, and I also attached a tune that I'm working on where the chords play.
