Sound volume difference - 2 files, same settings in Mixer but one sounds lounder
Two files downloaded and opened in MuseScore.

Both have identical settings in Mixer, but 1 sounds louder and brighter. 2 sounds soft and muffled. Why is that?

I think I worked out. 1 is marked pp at bar 1, whereas 2 has no dynamics markings.

No dynamics means a velocity equivalent to that of mf
(and no Tempo marking means 120 BPM)
