Chord Transposition
When I download a score from your webpage and have it opened in Musescore I want to transpose the notes and the chords. I have no problem depressing the control and "A" key and it highlights all of the notes. When I make my selection I have checked the box that says transpose chords but the chords do not transpose. What am I doing wrong?
I have checked the following:
Transpose chromatically
To closest (Eb to G)
Transpose key signature
options:
transpose chord symbols
click "enter" - only the notes change... not the chords
I would appreciate your assistance.

They will transpose if they were entered as chord symbols.
They will not transpose if they were entered as plain text.
To check:
Click on a chord symbol and look in the Inspector for 'Chord Symbol'.

What one learns...thank you. I assumed that when I got a lead sheet from Musescore it would be fully transposable and I just learned that it is not. Now I know how to check and correct. Thanks again.

It's important to keep in mind, scores on musescore.com are uploaded by ordinary users. Some know how to use MsueScore well, others don't. We don't know for sure if the user who uploaded the score you are looking at it did it correctly or not. We'd need you to attach the score here in order to say for sure. but based on your description, that's my guess. Attaching the score would eliminate the guesswork.
