Pickup Bar in Print Layout
I want to have systems of four bars each on a part I have created, but would like the first line of the part (the first system) to be five bars long in order to include the pickup bar.
I can't figure out how to change the number of bars in a single line. If I edit the General Style, the bars-per-system changes throughout the entire piece.
Is there a way to do this?

Select the bar line, hit enter to remove or add a break.

Thanks much -- that worked, although it meant setting the default to five bars and then inserting a line break every four bars after the first line. No matter, I'm glad to have a solution, and thanks for replying so promptly.

I recommend you don't use the style setting at all. Just add the line breaks where you want. If you do literally want them every four bars after the first system, just put the firtst line break in manually, then select the rest of the measures and use the Break Every X Measures plugin to add the breaks every four bars after.
