I cannot "Reset All Preferences to Default"

I cannot "Reset All Preferences to Default" on 2 year old Macbook Air. The interface opens up with huge icons that take up almost the whole screen. I'm using the latest version of Musescore. Screen Shot 2021-09-03 at 10.05.23 AM.png
