Ossia Note
I know how to do ossia notes via a hidden, smaller staff that appears only in the measures featuring the ossia notes, and is a stave above the affected part. But, is there a way to make ossia notes in a normal staff, e.g. on a piano theres a C major chord with c, e, and g, with a c above that is a smaller note; the ossia note?

Add the upper C to the chord as normal, then select that notehead and in the Note section of the inspector (rather than the Chord section) set the size to small using the tick box.

Probably you'll want to add this in an unused voice and also untick "play" for it.

There is no need for a separate voice. You can untick "play" for individual notes in a chord. In fact, there is no "play" option for a chord, only for the individual notes. Of course, if you select the whole chord and untick the play box, the whole chord is silenced as the option is applied to the whole selection.

Yes, you don't have to use a separate voice, unless of course the cued melody has a different rhythm; which in my experience is so at least half of the time..
