Is enharmonic notes acting the same a feature?

For example, if I have a C flat written and I try to add an enharmonic B in the same voice on the same staff, it won't let me, and if I have a chord with a C flat written and I try to add an enharmonic B it removes the C flat.

Try this:
- enter the C-flat
- hold the Shift key to enter a chord
- enter the B (which appears at the octave above)
- use Ctrl+DownArrow to move the B below the C-flat

It's quicker to do it the other way round (lower note name first)
- Enter the B
- press the flat button on the toolbar
- hold shift and enter the C (which will appear flattened because of the previous step)

Done.

In general it is quickest to enter chords from the bottom up.
