menu
I downloaded MuseScore 3 and get a different menu than in the MuseScore tutorials. See attached pics. How do I get the correct menu?

That tutorial is obsolete; it shows a many-years-old version. You might want to find more recent tutorials, but also, the differences aren't actually that big. The old Layout & Styles menus are now combined as Format, and Notes is now within Add. A few other new menu items, but the tutorials of course won't know about them, and for just getting started, you don't really need them.
