'small'

'Small' can no longer be applied to:

(1) Tuplet numbers, which is desirable for tuplets that are 'small notes';

(2) Clefs that appear within staves to indicate clef changes. By default, clefs are already small in that environment - but occasionally there is a glitch that results in a full-size clef like the one at the start of the system. Alternatively, one could make the oversize clef invisible and drop in a small clef from a Symbols menu in 1.3. I cannot find the small clef symbols in any of the symbols areas of 2.0 Beta 1.

For tuplet numbers - good suggestion. I suppose it should happen automatically if all the chords within the tuplet are small, but still, independent control would be sufficient and more flexible.

Can you show an example of a glitch where a clef should be small but isn't? There have been a few bugs with courtesy clefs fixed since the beta, it would be good to check to see if this is still a problem and get it fixed if so.

There are small clef glyphs on the main Symbols palette, accessed via "Z" or on the Symbols tab of the Master Palette. As far as I know these are not otherwise used in MuseScore and thus wouldn't match the "small" clefs we create by resizing a normal clef. You might get better results adding a regular clef from the *text* symbols palette (staff text, F2) and resizing it yourself.
