Uploading your own wave sample in drum notation

• Dec 9, 2021 - 10:36

Hi there! Could you add the ability to upload your own wav samples while notating drums?

You can upload custom sounds to musescore.com, if using a custom soundfont locally. Just tick the corresponding box on the File > Save online dialog

Musescore does not use wav samples directly. Samples are collected into something called a soundfont and you can add your own custom soundfonts, (containing your own wav samples), to Musescore.

See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/soundfonts-and-sfz-files

You can make custom soundfonts using a number of software packages.
I use Polyphone which is free and does a good job.

You can also download custom soundfonts from the internet.
