It appears .com's Audio Source playback works only on Desktop or Laptop (not on mobile devices)
I inquired on .com but have not yet received a reply.
Anybody here on .org know about this?

Nothing here to know except sending patience to you and crossed fingers to get an answer.
I believe the mobile apps use their own (smaller) soundfont as well for playback synthesis and not the pre-rendered audio mp3's from .com either.
