Writting whole note (bass note) in tact of 1/2

HI i downloaded this program to write compositions for my students for practsing guitar. When i tried to writte half note in tact of 1/2 and in same time needs to be played eight note, program didnt allowed me to do it. When i insert eight note this happens picture 2. If someone have solution for this, I would be really thankful.
