Copyright status of orchestration of arrangement

I've taken the David Willcocks' organ arrangement of "O Come, All Ye Faithful" (which arrangement would still be within copyright) and split its chords & ornamentations to produce a five part brass arrangement that can be played with the original organ arrangement (or played standalone). I feel like I'm in a grey area between transcribing and arranging? Where would this sit legally?
