Can't find workspace files on Mac Monterey

• Jan 30, 2022 - 06:28

[edit: figured it out. It's in the hidden Library folder within my user namespace, just as it said in the cited link (but still unfamiliar to me in this new environment). Thanks all for the help.]

I've switched over to a Mac platform (the reason? unclear at this point).

I can't seem to find where custom MS3 workspaces live. From past discussion here, I'd expect them to be in a Musescore3 subfolder within Library, but there don't seem to be any Musescore3 assets within Library that I can find.

I tried creating a new workspace named "xyzzy"; but a search of the HDD doesn't show any filenames like this. Any suggestions on where to track workspaces and similar MS3 assets down? I of course have a bunch of MS3 files in my Documents folder; but no sign of workspaces.

I do see that the workspace/palette interface has matured, so if they're now incompatible perhaps it's not practical to try to migrate my old custom workspaces from a Windows environment. I can create new workspaces, and presumably my saved palettes will load OK. But I'd like to try to get the big picture here. The Mac geography is still a bit murky so I expect I'm just looking in the wrong place or using the wrong Finder/Spotlight options.

Thanks much for any clues.

Yes, thanks, that's where I had looked. Mysteriously I'm not finding anything. For example:

I see the default workspaces in the package contents, but I can't figure out where my new workspace has been stuffed. It's not an emergency but it is nice to understand how these things work.
