Is there any way of enabling Page View to extend further down than the top 13 staves of a large score?

If you mean "paper" literally, I am nowhere near that stage yet. Otherwise you seem to be hinting that there is some way of lengthening the on-screen "page". Is that so? The size of the score is dictated by the size of the orchestra that I envisage occupying the pit of a moderately-sized opera-house. A large proportion of the staves are assigned to solo singers and chorus.

The "on-screen page" actually corresponds to a real paper size. That way you know how your score will be printed.

If your score does not fit on the on-screen page, it will not fit on the paper it is printed on.

There are two ways to solve this, both in accessible in the Page Settings dialog:

  1. Use a larger paper. For instance, change from A4 to A3. The on-screen page will be updated to correspond to the larger paper.
  2. Make the score smaller. This is controlled by the "scaling". Smaller number means smaller score. If you scale it down enough, it will fit on the paper size you are using. You can then use zoom to view the score in any size you want on the screen.
