Best practices for a creating a main score with a capoed instrument and a separate concert pitch part?

I've started a score for Concertina and three-string Bouzouki tuned DAD.

      • The Concertina part is in G minor, concert pitch.
      • The Bouzouki part is written in D minor with linked tablature, and capo 5—so it sounds in G minor.

The Bouzouki part is done. And now I want to add the G minor Concertina part to the main score. I want two flats on the G minor Concertina staff, while maintaining the single flat on the D minor capoed Bouzouki part.

From where I am in this project what's the best approach for adding the G minor concert pitch Concertina part to the main score?

Lastly I want:

      • a Concertina Part in concert pitch (G minor)
      • a Bouzouki Part in D minor (capo 5)

... just as they are in the main score.

Previously I notated a few duets for violin and clarinet. I wanted to make sure I understood how MuseScore handles transposing instruments so I started with a blank score and added two treble clef staves. Initially I was a little wobbly in configuring the transposition..., but it didn't take long to get clarinet in concert pitch on the main score and transposed in the clarinet Part.

Guess it would have been smart to have repeated the steps a few times so it sunk in!

Thanks!

As you discovered with the clarinet part, set up your score with violin and Bb clarinet. Hit the concert pitch button and enter the notes you want. Hit the button when you are done and MuseScore transposes the Bb part.
There are sections in the manual dealing with capos. Just curious, why do you need capo 5?
