Bars at the end of the score

After a quick search I haven't been able to find anything to do with this issue so I'm just gonna put it here. At the end of my score the extra bars always group together (basically as a big rest) which is obviously quite frustrating when I want to keep writing but have to keep manually creating bars to use, rather than just having those bars available in the first place. Does anyone know how to stop it from doing this/how to get rid of it. Thanks :)
