[Solved] Ancient music time signatures
Hi,
I often work on ancient music and I need unusual time signatures. For example, I need the "alla breve" notation for bars which are different from 2/2 i.e for example 3/2, 4/2 and even 6/2.
I'm perfectly able to create those in the palette, but I can't use the specific sign for them (the cut common time) or prolatio minor when needed.
I don't understand why I can apply them inside the score but not when creating or updating a palette item.
Can you please add this functionality?
Thank you in advance

Create as 3/2, 4/2, or 6/2, then right click the time sig, time sig properties, and then change the display to (use the) cut time (symbol)

Hi Jojo,
Thanks for your quick answer.
As I said, I know how to do this inside a score, but not in the palette. Thisi is the very point.
I never found a way to do this.

Move the one you just created in score to the palette, see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/palettes#add-element-to-palette

Great! Thanks for that.
It still could be useful to have the choice when creating directly into the palette...
Have a good day.
