You could attach your score (mscz) and explain what we should do with it to experience the same "stopped changing measure" as I for one have no clue about what that should mean.
My best guess is that you switched to the special-purpose "insert mode" - meant for cases where you want to stuff a measure full of extra notes, not for ordinary music. If so, simply switch back to the standard step time note input mode.
