MIDI randomly disconnect

• Apr 3, 2022 - 02:39

I have the Musescore 3.6.2.548021830 on a Windows 11/64 computer
I have a Casio LK-100. There is no problem using the keyboards. I only use the keyboard to enter notes and nothing else. Randomly, the MIDI keyboard would disconnect and stop working. I would check on the Preference > I/O. Often the selected MIDI input or output would be blanked out. I had to select the MIDI device again. I normally also click on the Restart Audio and MIDI device button, and click OK, to close the windows. The MIDI keyboard would sometimes work again. But more often than not, the MIDI keyboard will not work again until I restart Musescore. This MIDI disconnection may happen in 5 minutes or 15 minutes or didn't happen for hours. I do not have any other MIDI device connected to my computer. Anybody experienced this problem.? And have a solution?

That is it. I looked into the Device Manager, I have no idea that I have a total of 12 USB hubs! I uncheck and do not allow the computer to turn off the device to save power on every one of them. I really don't know which hub is the USB-MIDI on and there is no USB device that needed power saving. I never knew there was such a feature in Windows. I then power down the computer and then turn the computer back on. It has been 4 hours and there was no USB disconnection. Thanks.
