Is there a way to change the loudness of a harmonica?

• Apr 27, 2022 - 00:47

I was able to change the loudness if it is a piano, but if it is some instrument, I had to use "Offest" to do it (forgot which instrument), but for harmonica, I simply cannot change the "velocity" by User (absolute) or Offset (relative) to change the loudness of the note.

Is there a way to do it?

I suppose for some instrument such as harmonica, is it true that it is harder to control the loudness? So does the mean in fact it was changed, but it was just not noticeable? If it is a studio mixing situation, I can imagine if the mixer volume can be set to louder or softer for it, or if we move that performer closer or farther from the stage without a mixer (say, if it is unplugged without any electronics, amp, or speakers).

I would recommend attaching your score so we can understand and assist better. The normal way you tell a musician how loud to play is by adding a dynamic marking to your score. That's the same whether we are talking about harmonic, piano, or any other instrument or voice. If you just need the harmonica louder or softer in the mix above and beyond whatever dynamics you have added, that's what the Mixer is for.
