Alto Saxophone
I was making a piece of music for alto sax and the notes on my staff don't match my actual instrument. I wanted to play it with my sax, but the preview sounded different on the score. I'm in the correct key, but I'm not sure why it sounds different. For example, F on the score (not concert F) is actual d sharp on saxophone.

Sounds like you either added tenor or soprano sax instead of alto, or you have your concert pitch button set incorrectly. See the Handbook section on transposition to learn more about how that works. And if you still have questions, please attach your score so we can understand and assist better.
