Period Instrument SoundFonts (Bate Collection)
I have seen some requests on this forum asking for SoundFonts of period instruments. Attached is a link to the Bate Collection of Oxford University, featuring instruments from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries.

This font has many problems. As a former natural trumpet player, I note that the trumpets in this font are an octave off and (in the wrong octave) don't go high enough to make it useful for any Baroque trumpet concerto. The viols don't play notes full value. Some of the horn notes are out of tune. Yes, some notes in the harmonic series are out of tune, but players had ways to correct them. And the attack on some notes is very blatty. I spent a half hour trying things, and am disappointed.
