Score won't play

The play button along with the midi button, repeat on/off and other top line icons are grayed out. I was able to playback scores earlier today, left for a couple hours, came back and now the icons are grayed out. I uninstalled the program and redownloaded and installed. Any help getting this fixed would be appreciated. Thank you.
