Whole Rest Measure

How do you have a measure with a whole rest in it showing the symbols for more than one measure say for example 7 measures of whole rests?

On a repeat measure how can I add a number to the first repeat so it will use the same measures to repeat such as 1.2.3 and then continue on?

Just leave the measures empty and press M - toggle multi-measure rests.

Regarding multimeasure rests, note you should never normally need to enable them manually. They are created automatically when you generate parts from your score. only if for someone reason you are entered a single part only without the rest of the score would you need to enable then manually by pressing "M".
