Cue note feature request
I know Musescore 4 is in production, and I was wondering if it would be possible to add an "Add cue notes function." In my mind, this would be a button where you could specify the staff where the cues were coming from, and highlight where they were going.
In the screenshot attached, I would want to add Trumpet cues on the Violin I line. For example, it would be cool if I could select "Add," go to something maybe called "Cues," select that I wanted to add cues from m. 1-4 of the trumpet line, and it would autofill the cue notes as the small ones with text and the rests below.
I'm sorry if this is too late/not the right way to submit a feature request, its just something I've been thinking about recently!
Cheers!
Aria

It's too late for 4.0, as we're pretty much in bug-fixing only mode right now, but it's definitely something to consider for a future release.
I assume you are aware you can create cue notes currently via a multi-step process involving copy/paste, then using the Inspector to make small and also not play, and in the score as opposed to part optionally make them invisible. Once upon there was a plugin for that plugin, but that was for a much older version of MuseScore. Would be a nice thing to have back while we wait for someone to design and implement a native cue feature.

I was aware, but thank you anyway!
I have this home made plugin, adapted from the old cue plugin.
Notes (chords) and rest => small and silent
Switch cue notes to voice 4, to show rests in voice 1.

Plugin que3 works fine in 3.6.2 - thank you for making available.
My ideas for improvements :
1 Add an option to make all cue notes visible #only in parts - #but not in full score.
2 Add short partname - instead of "cue" visible #only in parts - #but not in full score.

So as a result of adding cue notes
--> full score should #look as before (optional)
--> cues visible in parts only
- as small notes
- with part identification

I think visibility is not something that is (can be) inherited from score to parts. Perhaps a specialist can confirm this?
The additional step will always be needed IMHO.
The instrument name instead of just a text "cue", was something i was thinking of. I guess we need some kind of input box to type in the name.
Still have to figure out how to do this. (i'm not a programmer)
