As the subject says, saved scores in mscz format by mscore-2 are not readable by mscore-1. Proposal: Extend the mscore-2 save dialog presenting the option to save scores additionally in mscore-1 format.

It's stated in the announcement of MuseScore 2.0 beta 1 that MuseScore 1.3 will not open MuseScore 2.0 files. And it will not happen.
The format of MuseScore 2.0 files is quite different and 1.3 format doesn't have the mean to save any new features introduced in 2.0.
Also, it's not like if MuseScore was an expensive and hard to get software. Anyone can download MuseScore 2.0 beta1 for free and it will be the case for the stable release too. So even if it was possible, I can't think of a good reason why anyone would spend the time to code forward compatibility.

1.x compatibility would of course be expexted to lose information, but could be useful for the poor souls with hardware or OS too ole for 2.0.
So if someone would be willing to spend time on this, would it stand a chance to get added?
Just export from 2.0 using XML instead.
