dynamic markings
When dynamic markings appear between the staffs in this case "p" which dynamic range should you set it to? Part, Staff, or System?

Part, the default

To expand on that. With the range set to part, the dynamic affects all staves associated with a single instrument - e.g. both staves for a piano or all three for an organ. If you want different dynamics on individual staves for a single instrument you would use "Staff". In the case of "System", the dynamic will affect all instruments in the score - useful for a quick and dirty preview of dynamics without the need to add the same dynamic for all instruments.
