Currently, if the Pan Score During Playback button on the toolbar is deselected many navigation commands do not move the score to show the selected location. The commands affected include Find, clicking on a measure or meta label in Timeline, Next/previous note (Arrow keys), Next/previous measure (CTRL+Arrow keys), Next/previous element (Alt+Arrow keys).

It would be better if the result of these commands brought the selected location within the view window, whether or not the Pan Score During Playback button is selected. I can see no reason why a user would not want the score not to be panned to bring the selected location into view when these navigation controls are invoked.

This "feature" is difficult to discover as the control that disables the panning only refers to "during playback" whereas the panning is also disabled during navigation while nothing is playing. See for example https://musescore.org/en/node/332858

[Edit] Forgot I'd already reported this #330598: Disabling "Pan score" button breaks direct navigation by the Find command and the Timeline

Duhhhhh!
