Quick Question About formatting
I was just wondering if it was possible to make rests automatically go to be centered on the B line in the staff so it's consistent, rather than them being placed differently depending on it's surroundings.

How would you distinguish between half note rests and whole note rests? The vertical placement on the stave makes all the difference.

I guess it would depend on the context of the bar, if its in 4/4 you already had 2 quarter notes then the dash would be a half rest, but the question was mainly in context to 8th, 16th, and 32nd note rests

But musicians are used to seeing whole note rests "hang" and half not rests "stand". That difference in vertical placement makes all the difference in reading.
And how would you stop a 8th rest in voice in beat 2 colliding with a B in voice 1 on beat 2?
Rests are offset vertically for a reason. Fixing them to the centre line would be contrary to any publishers' practice that I have ever seen.
If you really want to do it you can play with the rests' Y offset in the inspector, but I pity any musician given one of your scores.
I'm not understanding the question. Rests are automatically positioned on the center line, other than in the situations where the usual rules of notation demand otherwise (eg, multiple voices). Can you post an score that demonstrates the sort of situation you are thinking a rest should be centered but isn't?

It was a preview error, nevermind, thank you.
