playing from midi keyboard yamaha modx to musescore
What is cheapest way to connect yamaha modx8 to my windows laptop in order to play midi notes to create sheet music, i was using a usb to host (the square) and could not get the musescore to recognize any options to choose from in I/O tab

Be sure to connect and turn on the keyboard before starting MuseScore. If that doesn't fix it, make sure to update the device driver, and be sure it's a 64-bit driver. If it's only 32, you'll need the 32-bit version of MuseScore.
