I asked the program for 4 measures in 6/8. I inserted the notes that are required to finish it and it's adding silences at the end. The last measure has 6 8th notes yet it automatically adds several silences without my putting them. Please help me remove them.

I'm guessing you tried using the special "insert" mode to insert additional beats into your measures, rather than simply using the standard step-time note input mode. Don't use insert mode if you don't want to insert extra beats. But, all is not lost - to remove the extra time you've now added, you can use Ctrl+Delete.
If that's not it, then indeed, we'd need you to attach your score and describe in more detail what you did. Then we can understand and assist better.
