I'm not able to get a Volta showing multiple repeats

• Aug 30, 2022 - 07:22

I have a section of eight bars that repeats identically six times.

I am trying to create a Volta that appears as: 1., 2., 3., 4., 5., 6., ...... but I am finding it impossible to do.

I have consulted the Musescore handbook , under the section: Volta | To specify the number of repeats.

And it says: "Select the volta, and in "Repeat list" (Volta section of the Inspector) type in a number, or sequence of numbers separated by commas, to indicate the repeat(s) in which the volta is to be played."

However, when I click on the Volta section of the Inspector, I can't seem to find the "Repeat List" ... All I find is the sub-heading "Type" where I can select "open" or "closed" .... but that's all. No "Repeat List".

I will attach a screenshot of the Volta section of the Inspector

Many thanks in advance!

You may have a look here, but it is in German: https://musescore.org/de/node/334715
Otherwise attach your score.
Short description:
- select the measure with the end repeat bar line and set the play count to total number of repeats
- select the volta itself and there must be a repeat list at the bottom. Write there 1, 2, 3, .... (w/o dots)
- for human sheet readers you should mention in the section 'Text Line Details' in the field 'Text' the string 1., 2., 3. etc.
BTW: I can't find 'Type' what you've shown in your picture. Which element did you've selected?
