All notes are red colored

• Sep 4, 2022 - 22:01

I imported a PDF and for the most part the process worked very well (and I realize it is experimental). I had to change the instrument because it seems that it defaults to Voice but I changed the instrument to Classical Guitar and after I corrected a few minor errors, the only thing left is to change the color of the notes, which I cannot seem to find the editing of them. Mind you, I can print it, and no one would ever know, so this is in the area of curiosity/learning.

Many thanks.... Ernesto

I don't know how your problem arose, but I could work round it as follows:
1. Add a new instrument > Classical Guitar.
2. Copy all the notes from your original Classical Guitar stave.
3. Paste all the notes into the new (empty) Classical Guitar stave.

Your pitch range for some reason is set from A4 to B3: which in effect means nothing as the lower boundary is set to be higher than the upper one.
The easiest fix is to open up the Staff/Part-properties and choose "Change Instrument" to change the instrument to the same Guitar. This forces MuseScore to reload that instrument definition and as such also restores the default range of E2 to B5

Score seems to stem from a PDF import, as per Score properties (originalFormat mxl, platform Linux, source /tmp/audiveris-377f2fa99e9e5b1c91a1ef7c5e6a7fe7/score.pdf)
So I guess there something went wrong
