Slow startup
Just downloaded latest Musescore 3 today on my Windows 11 AMD machine after uninstalling old version. Musescore takes about 45 seconds now to start up. Seems much too long. Can I shorten the startup time somehow?

Do you have MDL extension installed? If so, that's the reason.

MDL extension is not installed.
Is your default printer a network printer? If so, having it not available makes for a long timeout waiting on it during launch.

Yes, my default printer is a network printer. After reading your message I shut down both the printer and computer and then restarted them. Now MuseScore is ready to use in about 5 seconds, a big improvement. Thanks!
How can I avoid the slow start in the future? I don't understand the phrase "having it not available" in your message.

If the network printer is offline, you'd have that delay
