Rosanna shuffle--beams in triplets
Hey everyone, I am trying to connect the beams for the Rosanna shuffle and for the life of me I can't get the beam to connect on beat 4 for the hi-hats. Here is a picture to show. I have tried applying all the beam properties but nothing seems to work. Any help would be awesome!

You're looking in the right place. What you need is to select the rest, then click beam middle.
You want the beam to cross the rest? Select the rest, and then choose "Beam middle" from the Beams palette.
